Aston Workshop carcoons its vehicles this winter
Aston Workshop in County Durham is turning up the heat this winter by stocking the Carcoon, a protective automobile storage system.
The Carcoon is a shielding cover for cars, which protects them from the environment. It has two air treatment units which operate continuously to provide a circulating airflow inside the storage unit, protecting the car from damaging elements in the outside air. The deoxidising carbon filters effectively remove many airborne contaminants, which can cause oxidation and corrosion of unprotected metals, keeping the circulating air dry and clean.
The Carcoon includes a base mat for the car and the top cover is placed over the vehicle and fastened to the base using the zipper. After the Carcoon is plugged into the power supply, the car is stored in its own protected environment ensuring that the Carcoon maintains the battery of the stored automobile in optimum condition.
Bob Fountain, owner of the Aston Workshop said: “People who buy their cars from us have usually made a huge investment so it’s important for them to take care of their Aston Martin cars. Carcoons are a great way of protecting your investment, and also make excellent presents for car fanatics.”
Aston Workshop specialises in sourcing and sales of Aston Martins and their repair and restoration. The company was founded in 1988 by enthusiast Bob Fountain to lovingly restore and repair the classic car using traditional methods and time-honoured techniques with the utmost care and attention to detail. The business has grown steadily through word of mouth and reputation and the workshop now spans 35,000 square feet. It has one of the largest show rooms of new and used Aston Martins in the North East of England with around 60 models on display.
Carcoons are available now in regal red and cost £388.99 from the Aston Workshop or at www.aston.co.uk
The Aston Workshop sales department is also looking for Aston Martins in any condition to restore and sell as the success of the web site has resulted in more sales enquiries than the current inventory can supply.
The Workshop is seeing demand across the board from a 1925 vintage Aston Martin to the latest DB9 and V8 Vantage. There are currently over 500 registered buyers on the data base waiting to hear when a car becomes available.
If you have an Aston Martin car to sell, whatever the condition, please contact Aston Workshop on 01207 233 525.
